Fundraising

Our Team
How can I fundraise?

We do not currently have scholarships available. However, many of our students like to fundraise to help cover their course costs.

Fundraising for your course can be a challenging task, but it's also an opportunity for you to step out of your comfort zone and develop important leadership skills. As a leader, you'll need to be able to identify and overcome obstacles, communicate effectively, and engage others in your vision. Fundraising is an excellent way to practice these skills and to demonstrate your commitment to your personal and professional development.

Here are a few ideas on how to raise money:

  • Approach your school: The skills you develop during the programme will help you succeed in your leadership role, so why not approach your Teacher, Careers Advisor, Dean or Principal to see if the school would be able to sponsor you.

  • Use a crowdfunding website: Set up a Givealittle or PledgeMe webpage. Make sure you spread the word to reach as many people as possible! E.g. ask all your friends and family to share the link on social media.

  • Contact a community organisation: Try your local RSA, Lions or Rotary Club as they often offer monetary sponsorship support for courses like this;

  • Offer your services: You could do small jobs or chores for your family and neighbours in return for a donation. E.g. cleaning, dog-walking, babysitting, weeding or mowing the lawns.

  • Sell products or services: Consider selling homemade crafts, and baked goods or offer a service such as tutoring, photography, or graphic design. You can advertise your products or services through social media or word of mouth.

  • Organise a charity event: Plan a fundraising event such as a charity concert, talent show, bake sale or movie night through your local movie theatre. You can also organise a charity auction by soliciting donations from local businesses or individuals and auctioning off items to the highest bidder.

  • Host a challenge or competition: Organise a challenge or competition such as a trivia night, a 5k run, or a basketball tournament. Charge a registration fee and offer prizes to the winners.

Don't be afraid to ask for help and support. Remember, part of leadership is being willing to step out of your comfort zone and take action. With a bit of creativity and persistence, you can find ways to raise the funds you need to pursue your course and achieve your goals.
