Student spotlight: Avalldamarie Godinet. Sacred Heart Girls College, Hamilton, New Zealand
"I really hope I leave this program feeling more confident in myself and my abilities, and also with more developed skills. I hope to gain more insight into our islands and the problems that we are currently facing and also learn some real-life solutions for this."
Avalldamarie Godinet had specific goals in mind when she applied for our Pacific Student Leadership Programme (PSLP) earlier this year. With the support of her family, communities and through her self determination and hard work, she successfully completed our Cook Island PSLP earlier this month in Rarotonga.
Avalldamarie joined our programme with her own leadership skills as a representative of the Student Elected Board of Trustees, Mission Committee member and captain of the premier Volleyball team at her Hamilton school Sacred Heart Girls College. When she completed the course she had strengthened her self confidence and management skills and took away so many lifelong friends from around Aotearoa NZ, Australia and the Cook Islands.
We are proud of the work Avalldamarie has put in and as we do all our alumni, will continue to cheer and support her with her future endeavours.
