Leadership Beyond Titles
At Future Leaders Academy, leadership isn’t just about titles or qualifications—it’s about growth, resilience, and stepping outside your comfort zone.
We are proud to partner with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Hillary Award in New Zealand to support young people on their journey to achieving their Gold Award, specifically through the Gold Residential Project.
The Duke of Ed is globally recognised for empowering young people aged 14–24 to explore their potential and develop essential life skills through adventurous and challenging experiences. The Gold Award is the pinnacle of this journey, requiring greater commitment and culminating in the Gold Residential Project—an opportunity to engage in purposeful activity away from home, alongside new companions.

A Home for Growth, Connection, and Challenge
Future Leaders Academy offers an immersive Gold Residential Project experience designed to meet the Gold Award criteria while fostering leadership, independence, and personal growth.
Participants join us for a 7-day, 6-night journey where they live, learn, and contribute alongside like-minded young people. Through a combination of community service, team-building activities, personal reflection, and fun, students don’t just complete an award requirement—they gain new friendships, valuable insights, and a stronger sense of self.
What Our Program Includes:
Leadership and personal development workshops
Outdoor adventures and team-building activities
Service opportunities within the local community
Mindfulness and reflection sessions
A safe, supportive, and fun residential environment
All programs are led by experienced mentors who are passionate about helping young people thrive. We work closely with the Duke of Ed team to ensure every experience meets award-compliance, and safety.
Ready to Complete Your Gold Residential Project?
If you're working toward your Gold Award and seeking a meaningful, fun, and growth-filled residential experience, we’d love to welcome you.
We are committed to supporting young leaders, opening career opportunities, and motivating more organisations to recognise the tremendous value of the Duke of Ed framework.
